This is my third attempt at a blog and this time I am determined to stick. with. it. If you know me at all or are "friends" with me on Facebook, then I'm sure you know by now I made a pretty big life-changing decision towards the end of 2009. I am officially a photographer. Period. That's it. No more juggling working 8-4:30 then editing all night, shooting weddings all weekend. But the funny thing is, I thought I would have more time once I made the change! I work harder now than I EVER have, but the difference is that I actually love what I'm doing. I LOVE weddings. Brides. Flowers. And yes, even hearing the song "Shout!" over and over. It is next to impossible to not be happy at a wedding. And I'm excited to finally be a BRIDE this October! Talk about a whirlwind being on the "other side" of the table. I'm hoping we learn from all of the weddings we go to and just make it as easy and laid-back as possible so EVERYONE can enjoy the day- vendors included.
Our wedding season doesn't officially kick off until April 24th and then it's pretty much back-to-back until November (I think) with a couple random weekends "off". I'm hoping that with me helping Eric out full time now (or around the clock!) that we'll have some more free time to enjoy all the wonderful summertime things that Erie offers.
Well, that's about it for now. I know no one reads this yet, but I'm going to do my best to keep at it and hopefully become a little more popular in the "blogosphere". Until next time! Katie.
